You and your family are excited over it and you want to set it up immediately so you could start watching football. You got an HDTV, so you are even more excited. You know you’d practically see the texture of those football players’ jersey with your TV.

So do you know how to wall mount a flat panel TV?

A flat panel TV that is not properly mounted is a waste of good money. You will not be able to optimize your viewing pleasure if you did not mount your TV properly. Your goal should be to optimize viewing and to spruce up your room with your TV.

So, what should you take into consideration when you are mounting your flat panel TV at home?

First of all, you have to take into consideration the size of your TV. If you got a Plasma TV or an LCD, you probably have a huge television! Make sure that your wall can support it. Make sure that you have properly placed it on your wall. So, you have to take into consideration that type of wall you’d be placing your TV on. You could choose a wood studding or a solid concrete wall for your TV.

You should also consider the type of wall mount you’d be using. There are actually four kinds of wall mounts that you could choose from:
a.Fixed wall mount which permanently places your TV on the wall. You can’t move the TV without breaking it
b.Arm mount which is commonly used for small flat panel TV.
c.Tilting mount which allows for flexibility so you could tilt the TV later on if you need to.
d.Motorized mount which allows you to rotate the TV.

Home Theater TV Setup

What is your idea of a home theater TV setup? Do you make your decision based on what “looks good”? Is setting up your TV just a matter of placing it where it fits? Setting up your home theater is more than just placing the equipment where they fit or where they look good. If you really want to have the full video and audio experience, you have to have the right home theater setup.

Setting Up Your Home Theater TV

Setting up your home theater TV is fairly easy if you know how to go about doing it. No, you do not set it up based on how look it would good in a particular corner. There are other things that you would have to consider when you are making your choice.

The first thing that you would have to determine is where you would want to set it up. Do you want to se it up in your family room? Do you want to place the home theatre in your basement? Make a blueprint. Grab a pen and a paper and do some sketching. The first thing that you would have to pencil in is your focal point. That would usually be your television.

After you have your blueprint, determine the use of your home theater TV. Is it just for watching movies or videos? Do you intend to use it when you play with your Xbox or Playstation?

Once you have determined all these things you can do your arrangement. You basically start with your focal point and you proceed from there.

Choosing the HDTV Plasma TV

You find yourself standing in front of several television sets. You have the budget to go for the expensive ones, but you just don’t know what to get. It is important, therefore, that before you actually go out and buy a television – no matter how expensive – that you should have at least considered all your options. Do not go to an electronics shop unprepared. You could end up unsatisfied with your salesman recommendation.

Going for LCD or Plasma

If you are looking for a flat panel high definition television, you could either go for the LCD or the plasma TV. Unlike before, TV size cannot dictate your choice any longer. There are LCD televisions that are as huge as plasma TV or even bigger. They also have amazing audio and video quality.

So why choose HDTV plasma TV?

High-def plasma television has always been considered as the superior television in terms of quality. You could expect vivid details, sharp colors and contrast and incredible sounds from plasma TV. You could be watching a movie with a pretty dark scene which might be horrible if you’re watching from a regular tube. But with a high definition plasma TV, these scenes look incredibly real and much, much better. HDTV plasma televisions could rapidly change images. So, if you’re watching a race, you’d see that the movement is more fluid.

With the improvement in LCD televisions quality, they are almost at par with plasma TV. To cope with the loss of sale, manufacturers are dropping their prices. To consumers, this is good news. You can now afford HDTV plasma televisions.

Home Theater HDTV: Choosing Your TV

You have been planning to set up your own home theater. So, if you’re going to buy a television or a media player, you wouldn’t know what HDMI is. So, if the salesman asks you, “Are you interested in getting an HDMI TV?” You’d probably answer, ‘huh?”

So, what is HDMI?

HDMI stands for high definition multimedia interface. It is basically a licensable connector interface that transmits digital streams. The first version of this video/audio connector interface was introduced in the market in 2002.

The HDMI uses a 15 mm, 9pin single cable that transmits video, audio and control signals. It also uses a single remote control in order to operate and control the devices included in your home theatre. It also has Gink intelligence which helps home theatre’s devices to recognize screen resolutions. This has an auto adjust function for your convenience so you wouldn’t have to bother with screen formats.

If you’re looking for the enhanced DVI version, you are looking for HDMI. This interface is replacing DVI. Since its introduction to the market, HDMI has become the standard for electronics manufacturing. HDMI uses high bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) protocol. This protocol basically secures the source and sink link. You’d be well protected from output piracy.

Since HDMI was released, new features were added to it. Different versions were also released. All of these versions have 1080pi video resolution. Their only difference lies on audio capabilities. Regardless of what version you get, if you get an HDMI, you have the best.
